On May 14, 1948, Prime Minister Ben-Gurion declared the establishment of the State of Israel in the hall of former Mayor Dizengoff’s home. In 1978, the historic site was restored and opened to the public, along with a display on events leading up to that day.
The same building houses the Bible Museum, whose permanent and changing exhibits focus on biblical subjects.
